Take Me Out to the Ballgame

August 11, 2011

{Bright Lights, Cardinals Nation}

We, the City in the Jar girls, are members of Cardinals Nation. On Tuesday night, Jessica and I had the lovely fortune of having a “Jars Night Out” at the ballgame.

{Pre Game Drinks}

{Moi at Llyweln’s}

We began the evening at Llywelyn’s Pub in Soulard. There we dined and drank with two friends before heading to the game. Once there, we had one mission, and one mission only.

{The Saint Louis Dog}

Behold the Saint Louis Dog. A bacon wrapped hot dog, smothered in baked beans, piled high with pickles, pico de gallo, grilled onions, fried onions, and sauerkraut, finished off with a spicy mustard and BBQ sauce. Seriously though, what of that screams Saint Louis?

{Hot Dog Heaven}

{Skip Schumaker}

{Tony LaRussa going at it}

{Base Hit}

{Fredbird}

Interesting food, good company, and an okay game. All in all it was a fabulous night at Busch Stadium! Poor Cardinals lost 5-3 in the 10th inning. Special thanks to the lovely Jessica for a fun-filled evening!

Keep cheering on those Cards and craving what you love —

    It’s like I was there…….but I wasn’t.

    Hence I am now sad.
