iconic women // Audrey Hepburn

March 22, 2012

I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and…I believe in miracles. – Audrey Hepburn

To me, Audrey is timeless. She’s that one style icon that I find myself looking to as I have my shopping meltdowns when I can’t seem to get on board with today’s fashion trends. Audrey Hepburn’s style is classic: simple black, pearls, jewels and her mesmerizing eyes. She is that gorgeous beauty who carries herself with poise and grace.

I chose her as my inspiration not only for her fashion, but also because of her selflessness. As years went on, she became quite the humanitarian, spending most of her time dedicated to working with UNICEF. It’s a pity we don’t have more role models such as her.

Thank you Ms. Hepburn, for instilling in me that classy is indeed sexy.

We are incredibly grateful for Holly and Felisa from ProColour Salon for transforming us into these women, and to Blake Fehl for being our talented photographer.

M, what a GREAT choice! You look delicious. And speaking of delicious, do we know any men who can take on the role of Paul, or as Holly liked to call him, Fred?

One of my favorites! My bedroom is actually painted Tiffany’s Blue and adorned with Audrey portraits.
