This city is chock full of wonderful places to eat. Among them is Whisk: a Sustainable Bakeshop. Flavorful cheddar and pear scones, rich brownies, and ‘Liz Lemon’ cupcakes sit so perfectly in the display case. As if that wasn’t enough to send my mouth into a tizzy, the listing of ice pop flavors leaning against the counter sure was (cucumber basil or strawberry rhubarb, anyone?). And I haven’t even mentioned the eclectic display of artwork on the walls and inventive use of over-sized whisks as lamps that had me swooning. If that’s not enough to get you into the shop, then read about how this bakery was made completely possible by launching a Kickstarter campaign! Kaylen Wissinger, resident baker (and owner), can make a mean (read: super tasty) baked good. Take a peek at the pictures below, then go check out the real deal. Your taste buds will thank you.
